About Me

Hi, I'm Zosia!

I am from Maine in the U.S, a land of evergreen forests and beautiful rocky ocean coasts. I love spending time outside hiking in the woods, swimming at the beaches, and dancing just about anywhere. I enjoy exploring new places I travel by diving into the natural landscape, finding activities that heighten my experience of the land. Check out my photo section to see snapshots of some beautiful outdoor experiences I've had!

I am passionate about making art, especially doing printmaking. I love to immerse myself in creative community, connecting with other artists through collaboration and collective events. In my hometown, Portland, I love seeing local musicians and checking out my friends art shows.

I love the spontaneity of travel. I am always open to opportunities for learning, human connection, and adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, and I love to dance! Some of my favorite artists are Bjork, Yoko Ono, Big Thief, FKA Twigs, Lucinda Williams, Tirzah, Wednesday, Grimes, Grace Ives, and Grace Jones. I also enjoy different kinds of EDM.

Reading is a favorite pass time of mine. I really enjoy the work of Octavia Butler, Margaret Atwood, and James Baldwin. A couple recent favorite reads have been Xenogenesis/Lilith's Brood by Octavia Butler and Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl by Andrea Lawlor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

What comes to mind is a hike I did last winter to a stunning hot springs. The trail wound through the desert coming to a ridiculously steep section that had my calf muscles aching the next day. But of course the reward was so so worth it, 4 crystal clear steaming pools to soak in all day.
