My mission in life is to learn and to share with others.

ABOUT ME

I am a quiet person with many interests and activities, easy-going and accomodating.
I love talking to people and exchanging ideas and telling stories around a table, laughing and enjoying food together and sharing experiences.
I like being at home and getting deeply into things but I also love travel and seeing amazing things out there!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an ongoing experiment.
I don't have too many answers, but I have a lot of questions! I am pretty relaxed and feel that life keeps opening up in interesting ways...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have had a lovely experience this summer staying with couchsurfing hosts in the Maritimes.
I love meeting people from other countries and hope someone requests my couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with a few people this summer for the first time and it was really fun and interesting!
What a great idea this is and what a way to build a global community!

Interests

I am interested in many things, but most especially art and music (I play flute and piano).
I am an avid gardener and have grown my own vegetables for over thirty years. I love the connection with the land and good food.
Love to read and write a little, have had my work in small publications.
Am interested in history and politics.

Recently, I liked Limits of Control, Les Heures d'Ete. Yusef Lateef, Miles Davis, Fado, Afro-Caribbean, Rawi Hage, Michel Houellebecq, Andrei Malkine, and much, much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have sailed across the Pacific from Fiji to New Zealand in a small sailboat, a 13-day voyage. I stood watch at night and witnessed the vast spectacle of the ocean, navigating by the stars, totally awestruck by the majesty of the heavens.....

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a person with quite a wide experience and love to share whatever knowledge I have.
I think that couchsurfing is a fantastic way for people to create a global network for sharing and community.
