About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hmm... Trying to find out who I am and what are really important things is life. Is it too serious? :)

ABOUT ME

Open-minded, love children, a bit crazy (in a good way I hope :)) Most important things: I am a volunteer of Bátor Tábor (Hole in The Wall Camp, therapeutic recreation camp for children with cancer, diabetes, JRA or haemophilia and for their families) and that's maybe the most wonderful thing that ever happend in my life. I play in an amateur acting group and really love playing any kind of games including creative drama or boardgames.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in things which aren't based on money, like volunteering, hitch-hiking, couchsurfing, giving, exchanging things, clothes, languages, anything we got. These make the world a better place. :)

(I don't say that we shouldn't use money, but it's much less important than we think.)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started hosting and have a lot of travel plans so definitely will start surfing soon. :) (Hopefully this summer.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love CS more and more, still not too much but fantastic days, and it gets changing my view of my hometown. It is a really good experience to see my city from a turist's (or an outsider's) point of view. I'm realizing how much I don't know Budapest but I'm working on this. :)

Interests

People, culture, thearte, drama in education, good books, good conversations, good food, good beer and wine, games...

Music, Movies & Books

Just some random favourites:

Books: Kundera, Bulgakov, Bret Easton Ellis, Norfolk...

Movies: Sin City, Much Ado about Nothing, A Clockwork Orange, Stardust, Inglorious Basterds, Big Fish, Brokeback Mountain, Drive, Fight Club, Dolls, Head-on, Dogville, Howl's Moving Castle, In Bruges, Memento, Lost in Translation, Midnight in Paris, Amélie, The Dark Knight, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Limits of Control...

Music: Muse, Lily Allen, Snow Patrol, Michael Buble, Amy McDonald, and a lot of 'alternative' Hungarian bands like Quimby, Kispál, Pluto, etc. ...

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Volunteering @ Bátor Tábor (Hole in the Wall Camp)

Try to find the little miracles of everyday life :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I know it's a huge cliche but there is a hungarian proverb that cliches are true (and this is also a cliche) :)

And this quotation was told me in a very important moment in a very important situation, so it became important to me:

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."

Countries I've Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Slovenia

Countries I've Lived In

Belgium, Hungary, United Kingdom
