ABOUT ME

Hey everyone, my name is Walker. Which as it turns out, is extremely ironic, because I'm also a distance runner. I've run several 5k's and 10k's, one half-marathon, and I'm in the process of training for my first triathlon.

I was born and raised in Georgia, in the United States. I loved my hometown and now I'm looking to see the rest of the world. I'm currently in college as an economics major and accounting minor, class of 2013!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in life has balance, we must maintain that balance or suffer the consequences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By couch-surfing! I'd like to share my culture with others and learn about their culture. I believe food is one of the greatest ways to bring people together and as a cook, I love to spread my home country's cuisine. As Carl Sagan once said, "Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known. "

I'm a wonderful cook and I would love to teach you how. I'm also an Eagle Scout with a good bit of knowledge about survivability. I'm bilingual and have a good grasp of international affairs and history.

I'd love to improve my German and Spanish. Or I can learn a few words in whatever languages you speak. I'm also always looking for new recipes and cooks to teach me.
