About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'd like to help people displaced by the earthquake when possible."
ABOUT ME
I'm Zane and I'm currently living and working in Kumamoto, Japan. I spent 3 years working as a high school English teacher, and for the last 2 years I've been an adviser for foreign English teachers in Kumamoto. I'm originally from the Portland area in Oregon, U.S.A. I will be returning to the U.S. at the end of this summer.
PHILOSOPHY
It sounds a bit pretentious to call it a philosophy, but live well, treat others well, and try new things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently only interested in hosting people who have been displaced by the recent earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plant troubles in northern Japan. Thank you for understanding. For all other travelers, I'd be happy to meet for coffee or a drink.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm brand new, but eager to start.
Interests
I'm interested in music, books, films. I love stories and talented story-tellers. I like to travel, but I don't do it enough. I'm interested in sustainable development and hope to study urban planning in the near future.
