About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy my last few months in Korea!
ABOUT ME
I suppose I'm a bit of a restless one. I enjoy learning about new things and exploring new places. I'm very interested in people. I enjoy listening to their stories and yacking about my own.
I also enjoy eating and goofing around outside. Korean food and mountains have been a welcome part of my time here. Few things are better than climbing a mountain followed by a Korean feast.
I'm from a small town and have lived in about a dozen towns around Canada. I studied environmental science and high school education. I taught high school science for a while before heading to Korea for a go at teaching English.
PHILOSOPHY
Hmmm....
I guess my philosophy is to learn and share what I can, care for the people around me, and try to play and enjoy myself while I'm at it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's turning out that I'm surfing more than hosting. My current town must not be a travel hot spot for couch surfers...
Interests
Lately I'm interested in roaming around...spending time with friends, reading, working on whatever art project pops into my head and embracing my occasional bursts of motivation to study language.
Pretty much any outdoor activity, gardening and having long discussions while drinking too much coffee are all pretty good things to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of the books I dug in my recent fit of reading include: The Master and Margarita (Mikhail Bulgahov), Holes^^, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (Jonathan Sanfran Foer) and Freedom (Jonathan Franzen)...and sometimes I get into serious moods for the silliness of Christopher Moore.
The music I like probably falls into the folk/rock/indie side of things. I can't seem to get into K-Pop...although many of the videos are incredibly charming.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably a storm of northern lights in the northern Canadian sky. It was jaw dropping amazement. I've tried to put it into words, but it hasn't worked out.
