About Me
Hey there.
I have been called with a lot of names : Zul, Fadhli, Zulfadhli, Pali and in some instances Tarmizi (That's my father's name btw). Totally up to you what you wanna call me.
Where should I start?
I'm the youngest of 3 siblings
Got a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for a while as a production engineer.
Traveling is a sort of new hobby I just found out. It's just so great meeting new people in different countries and experiencing the life over there. Because of that, I made a bucket list to travel to 30 countries.
I prefer to travel as "local" as possible when traveling because that allows me to see how the locals live their lives. To me, traveling is not just about pointing to a map and say, "yeah, I've been there". It's about involving yourself to different situations, meeting people that could possibly change your life, get inspired and bring home an experience so unforgettable, that you'll cherish for the rest of your life.
I'm pretty talkative when I am comfortable with someone, but shove me food and I'll shut up! :p
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been on Couchsurfing for quite a while but didn't exactly get the chance to work on it. I used it during my trip to Indonesia and I have to admit, it definitely made my travel all the more enjoyable. I got to meet a lot of people from all kinds of life. It's been fulfilling and I look forward to meeting more!
Interests
I'm more of an avgeek kind of person and in fact I can spend hours in the airport without feeling bored. There's always something interesting to be seen there. That also means I do plane spotting whenever I can (no, that's not weird).
I also like to cook, and eat. But don't hope too much on it because I'm just starting to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm more of a "okay I don't know what song this is, but I'm gonna download it" kind of guy so my taste isn't exactly constricted to one type of genre. But right now I'm really into Adventure of A Lifetime and Stand By You.
Movies? Too much. I watched The Martian, Insidious, Inception, Inside Out, At World's End, Ted and tons more. I've got quite a big collection of movies in my hard drive so we can shareeee
Ummm.... A Song of Ice and Fire?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on exchange programme to Czech Republic for about 6 weeks to teach cultural diversity and language to high schoolers in Brno.
I'm not exactly sure if I can swim or I was just imagining that I can, but I snorkeled for the first time without needing a life vest in Villingili Island, Maldives.
I once managed to disguise myself as a Vietnamese when I was visiting Kuala Lumpur. Pulled it off quite fine, but fell short when I got caught by a passer by, who coincidentally was a Vietnamese. Talk about bad luck huh
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Malay if you want. There's a lot of Malay dialects being spoken in the Peninsular Malaysia alone and I'm quite fluent in the northern and perakian dialects (there's a huge difference btw).
I can cook very very very basic Malaysian dishes so we can try it out if you wanna.
I am more than happy if you can teach me your native language and dialects. I had basic French classes in my university but it's been a while so I'm pretty sure it's very rusty already.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My culture and stories. Traveling is not just about you learning the way of living of the country you're in, but also impacting the people you meet along the way.
