About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Simply enjoy the life and make the others around me enjoy it too

ABOUT ME

Big fan of outdoors, nature, good humour, curious, adventurous, easy going, and most of all happy!:)

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is ok in the end. And if it's not ok, it's not the end!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New here in CS community, just going to discover what I can offer!:) Currently unfortunately no couch available but I would love to be your guide to hang around in and around Brussels or Bratislava, my two home towns! Would like to join in CS activities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just started, subscribed in July 2012 after hearing many positive feedback about CS. Did my first CS trip to Mallorca where I met great people with whom we stayed good friends since. Try to participate at CS events.

Interests

Love the outdoors, nature, exploring new places, sports of any kind - mountainhiking, biking, swimming, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, watersports, volleyball...although, sometimes just like to be lazy!:)

Dancing is my big passion too - all sorts of latin styles, oriental(belly)dancing, Brazilian, Afro, modern..

Good food, wine, tea and coffee

Volunteering has always been a great experience for me, working with kids and youth etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV series that makes me laugh: Family Guy, IT Crowd, South Park, Yes, Prime Minister, Little Britain, Monthy Python..

Some favorite books: Cien anos de Soledad, El Rey de la Habana, On the road, Turks fruit, Hobbit, Stalker, Old man and the sea, Afrodita, travel and adventurous books of any kind and of course the classics El Alchymista, Le Petit Prince

Music: as it comes to dancing, anything's good, otherwise mostly rock/alternative

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience so far has been volunteering for a local NGO in Peru. I was helping to teach kids in the educational centres in the slums of Lima. The direct contact with the kids, their curiosity and eagerness to learn, their happiness about the little things in life..it has struck me! We have so much to learn from them!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach, share:
My big passion is oriental/belly dancing, if you are interested, I'll be happy to teach some moves!:)

I think I have some modest knowledge about nature - plants, herbs, mushrooms or let's say how to survive in the outdoors. In my homeland Slovakia there is a big tradition of collecting herbs to cure various illnesses. I am a big fan of this old grandma science.:)

I like to cook too and I am a big wine lover!

Learn:
Open to anything you can teach me!
