CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the World! We are currently biking through Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia, and Croatia. If you offer us a couch we won't have to sleep in the bushes!

We are fellow world travelers! Jackie and Mike have traveled, primarily by bicycle to the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Vatican City, Greece, Netherlands, Israel, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Mexico, Canada, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Peru, and Barbados!

This summer (2013) we just completed a six week cycling adventure around the entire country of Iceland! It is a cold, but beautiful place. Next year we are hoping to make it to the World Cup in Brazil.

Jackie is a instructor at Arizona State University and Mike is a freelance photographer. We try to live a sustainable life and have a large vegetable garden, four egg-laying chickens and solar panels on our roof. We enjoy canyoneering in slot canyons, hiking, bicycle touring, and Mexican food.

As someone's who been in your shoes trying to travel on a budget, we have a pretty good idea of what you are (and are not!) looking for in a place to stay. We can (sometimes) provide a clean and quiet place for you to relax and lots of travel advice on what to see and do on a budget in the South west

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have couch surfed with several people in Mexico, Belize, Ecuador, Peru, and Iceland. The accomadations vary from very basic to posh, but the hosts have always been friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled extensively in more than 26 countries - mostly by bicycle. I love the cities of Vietnam, the Jungles of North Eastern Peru, the islands of Galapagos, and the tiny cities of France which are seldom seen by tourists. Anything off the beaten path is what I crave!
