ABOUT ME

Hello there! What should I say here? Always difficult to say something about yourself right? So I'll tell you about my first experience with couchsurfing.
I joined actually quite recently, last winter. I was on business trip to Florence alone. (I'am doing my Ph.D in physics in Amsterdam and had to perform some experiments at the CNR institue in Florence)
So, I thought what should I do in the evenings. Friends advised me to join couchsurfing. I made an account at the airport. It was just before Christmas, so there was a lot going on in Florence. I joined three (pre) christmas dinners with "strangers". But it was really great! People were so kind! It opened up my my mind. Couchsurfing could be described as a way of thinking. Being interested in other people and the thinks that drive them.

Besides my (for outsiders) "boring" job I am a rowing coaches, After work and in the weekends I'm spending hours along the river Amstel in Amsterdam. In the time left over I like drinking beers :) and traveling. It is especially great when these things could be combined; making business trips and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

I think it is good not thinking too much about the future. Doing things when they come on my way. Having fun in life is important! Not everything needs to be planned.
