I'm Sonya from Korea.

Short story
I've been on the road since 24th, Dec, 2012.

Long story
I used to work at an office, lived normal life as others.

One day, I decided to travel around the world, quitted my job which I enjoyed very much, took a ferry from Korea to Russia, tavelled Russia by Siberia express train. I crossed over to Estonia by bus, travelled Eastern and Southern Europe...

That's how my trip begins.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I knew about Couchsurfing at the beginning of my travel. But I hadn't tried it even once. I was scared to speak in English, felt so small when I speak in English. I still don't have any confidence with my English. But I've met a lot of nice people on the road. And they gave me deep impressions. I want to meet various people, hear various stories.

音乐、电影和书籍

Most of time I listen to pop music. I like picking up some music on the street while I travel or stealing from others.
I like songs it contains particular city or country too.
Like Jamaican in New York, Istanbul pas constantinople, Copacabana....
I also like songs which has meaningful lyrics.

I didn't really enjoy to read when I was kid. I guess I was 20-21 to start many books with joy
The Blue Day, Sherlock Holmes, Screw it, Let's do it, Tuesday with Morries, Perfume.............

I'm a big fan of movie but it's hard to watch many movies while I travel.
Bandits(German film), Love me if you dare, The shining, Million Dollar baby, Ray........

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Being On the road since 24, Dec, 2012.
- Escaping from wild monkeys in Thailand.
- Travelled by the Siberia express train over Russia.
- Followed Slik road from China to Turkey through Central asia.
- Sailing for TAS, Australia for 7 days.
(I had chance to travel with only one skipper, saw lots of seals on one of islands during my yacht trip. That was incredible)
- Hiking the Otter trail which is 5 days hiking in S.Africa. There are 11 small and big rivers to across on the trail:D
