About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I hope to travel as much as I possibly can this summer, and to write about it. Then after I graduate, I'll travel and write some more!

ABOUT ME

I am a student studying English Literature and Composition at a small liberal arts college in Pennsylvania. I'm friendly and outgoing, and I love to meet new people! It's tough to travel on a student's budget, but I won some grant money for this summer and hope to get as far as I possibly can with it. I love to read and write, and I want to be a published author one day (soon!). I've been learning Spanish since I was a kid in school, and I've gotten pretty comfortable speaking it, and I'm eager to learn new languages.

PHILOSOPHY

"Be curious, not judgmental." -Walt Whitman

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I am looking for places to stay while I travel abroad this summer. I live in campus housing, so I cannot host any couch surfers at this time. I split my time between home and school, but I'd be happy to spend time with any travelers looking for some company in the Rochester or Pittsburgh areas. When I graduate and have my own place, I'l gladly start hosting.

Interests

I love reading and writing, and I hope to be a published author one day. I haven't had a lot of time to travel before, but I hope to do as much as possible in the future. Music is one of my biggest passions, and I've been studying classical voice since I was 11. I genuinely appreciate all types as music, and finding new artists and styles is one of my favorite things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two weeks volunteering in Nicaragua. Both the beautiful landscape and the incredible people were unforgettable. I can't wait to go back (as soon as I can afford it!).

I love snorkeling. So far, I've only been in Barbados, but next on my list is the Great Barrier Reef.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to share my spirit for adventure and my desire to learn more about different cultures, and make connections with new people. I hope to learn a lot from my travels!
