我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Set up my Couchsurfing account when I went to the United States for a semester abroad. Did a lot of Couchsurfing at friends' places, but did not really use my account until now...

Being on parental leave my husband and I are going to on a backpacking trip through New Zealand, Fiji and Australia for about four months, showing our daughter what it means to be the next generation of globetrotter ;)

Couchsurfing gives you an alternative map of the city and its people, pointing you directly to those who’ll share. You find secrets of a city and get to know stories you would never get to know as a tourist. I love to see how day-to-day life is lived far away from home - at home grocery shopping is nothing special, but somewhere else it is!

It's often said that travelling makes you open-minded, but I am sure it's the people you meet that do that, no matter where you are.
