Hi, my name is Sofia. I was born in Argentina but I spend most of my life in Slovenia. I study international relations in Ljubljana. I like to read, watch movies, run, make jewelry, listen to music, sometimes dance and have fun with my friends. Above all I like to travel and meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think it's a great way to meet people from all around the world and share a part of your culture. I like to travel meeting new people and actually get to know the country and its people, not just see famous monuments and say how nice all the hotels were. Traveling is for me much more, it's about getting the very essence of a country, it's people, the food, some words in a foreign language ... That's why I prefer couchsurfing, because hotels obviously can't give you all that :)

Interests

I like to learn about new cultures. I find it very interesting how people in different cultures behave, react and socialize. I really like to discuss that and compare. In my free time I like to read, to watch tv shows, go for a walk ... My mom lives in the countryside, and when I visit her I go to the forest and collect different plants and fruits to make jams, pestos and teas. I like to play my guitar and sing with my roommate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like very different music, really depends of the mood I'm in. I believe myself to be a good reader, I try to read a variety of books, some classics and modern novels. Sometimes I even read some philosophical discussions, too. :) The last movie I saw and I liked was Tracks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I hitch-hiked a month and a half from Slovenia to France and back. In France we camped, swam in lakes, climbed a mountain and went grape-picking. I met amazing people, who actually restored my faith in humanity :D
