About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd say mi mission here is to understand a little better a tiny tiny part of this world

ABOUT ME

I'm trying to be a scientist, which takes most of my time.
When I'm not in the lab, I like to have deep conversations with friends around a coffee or a beer. But it's usually funnier when the deep conversations turn into lab gossiping (as I said somewhere above, PhD is some kind of a 24/7 thing, we have to cope with that).

I kinda love music of almost any kind, from the small Balkan jazz thursday concerts which have become a classic for our Thursday nights in Barcelona, to whatever they play in any club on a Saturday night.

Sports. I tremendously love sports. Soccer principally. Probably not only because of soccer 'per se', but all the emotions that come with it. Being part of it, playing or watching, screaming out loud, crying when your team loses the final. It's how we live it; the passion that we put on it. I used to play soccer when I was younger. I also played tennis for a while, did karate as a child... I have much less time now, but I do my best to try to keep fit: jogging from time to time, hiking, cycling...

Travelling is my other passion, and I guess that's one of the many reasons I love my job. You get to travel a lot! In the last 5-6 years I have travelled mainly around western Europe and also in the Americas. I have met a bunch of people from all over the world, each of them with an incredible story to tell. Some of them are now very good friends of mine, and deserve a visit soon! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I would say only three words: work, learn, enjoy. Work with passion in something you love. Learn everything you can. Enjoy every aspect of your life, from the coffee you have every morning to that epic trip you are planning. All of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm living temporarily in gorgeous California, and I cannot have guests at my place. When I get back to Barcelona and find a new apartment I'll try to be able to host extraordinary travelers from all over, I know Barcelona is a top destination!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet! I registered not long ago when I was looking for a place to stay for a couple of days close to Stanford University, while I searched for some room here. In the end I managed to stay with some friends in San Francisco, but I hope I can experience californian hospitality soon!

Interests

I'm interested in anything from what I can learn something new, no matter whether it is about art, history, science, curiosities... The best of it is than it can come in a myriad different ways. You can learn a bit about Indian traditions while you get yourself fully dyed in dozens of colors celebrating Holi!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snorkeling in Cuba is absolutely the most amazing thing I've ever done.
Also, Niagara Falls were impressive and stunning.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook, and I'd say I'm not bad at it! And I'm currently improving my veggie cooking skills as my roommates are vegetarian, so I'm quite open for it.
I can also try some language exchange in case you want to improve your Spanish skills, or just learning the basics of it! I speak English as well and just a little bit of German, I could use a little help on this!

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Belgium, Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
