I'm a student of the faculty of Mechanical engineering. I'm residing in Belgrade, capital city of Serbia, but i often travel home to Subotica (Szabatka). I used to play water polo , now I'm playing underwater hockey. I'm passionate lover of history and archaeology. I really like to travel, especially with trains, but I don't do it as often as I want. That is why, this year I promised myself to try and do better - and we have a plan to visit some places that we have on our list for quite some time. To keep the travelling on a manageable budged we decided to try out couchsurfing which will also provide me and my friends with some first hand insider information from our hosts and, I believe, will enrich mine overall experience of visiting a different part of the world. I'm more than ready to show to my guest places where i reside, then to provide I'm with travel tips, and to show them nice place where they can try and eat Serbian drinks or enjoy our fine cuisine.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have heard, during these years, many good and nice stories about people meeting another people and making friends through this idea. I think it is beautiful when like-minded people from different parts of the world get together, share stories, experiences and all in all have a really good time. Meeting people, seeing the world and making that possible for others is why we all are here.

Interessen

I was always a passionate fan of history and ancient civilizations, and local customs. Serbia for example has a rich histoy, spaning from roman times, and being byzantine, slavic, ottoman, and german influence. You can see it in rich customs, cuisine and architechture. However, i study aviation and airplane moddeling in faculty of Mechanical engineering, as i have always liked to desing custom crafts, like homemade crosbows, small mechanisms, or models of airplanes or trains. I used to play water polo, however, as i began studiing in Belgrade, i have discovered a new game, underwater hockey, which i really enjoy to play, a new favourite team game. I also like to experiment with craft beer. I have already made a few beers, howewer, only for friends use. I'm also found of brewing rakija (palinka), which is a type of fruit brandy .

Musik, Filme und Bücher

As of favourite music, i have a very large interest field. Which i play, depends of my mood or how much alchohol i have drank. I prefer yugoslav rock from 80's ( Bijelo Dugme, Riblja Čorba, Van Gogh, EKV, Haustori, Crvena Jabuka...), there are a few folk singers that can touch my heart, but i can be also found in trance experience. I find Pink Floyd and Zeppelins as legends.

Of movies, i like Luc Besson directed movies (Lucy, Leon the Proffessional, 5th Element), serbian movies from Emir Kusturica (Underground), then there are Memento, Requiem for a dream and of course, Star Wars series! As for tv shows, i'm found of Californication, Breaking Bad, Arrow, Game of Thrones etc.

My favorite Books are from Meša Selimović ( Tvrđava- ,,Fortress"), Ivo Andrić ( Travnička Hronika - ,,Chronicles of Travnik") , Pekić ( ,,Vreme čuda"- Time of Wonders), Franz Kafka - Process , Dostoyevski - Crime and Punishmet, A songs of Ice and Fire series of book by George Martin ...
