Well, to start with, my presence in this site is some kind of anomaly, since I'm what you'd call a geek who don't obsess about travelling. However, recently I'm into this thing called 'networking', where I found that the more acquaintances you have, the easier and more interesting life you'll have. So I extend my connections beyond just my geeky friends and suddenly I find myself traveling from one place to another.
By default, I'm a quiet person when meeting new person but usually it wont take long to break the ice if the person I talk with is compatible or like to talk a lot. Oh, I also take pride in my neat and organized behavior.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As you can read in about me section, I was born and live in Indonesia, lovely country with beautiful places and scenery, but not so much when it comes to earning. This makes me a budget traveler, searching for the most cost effective way of traveling.
Of course I'm not a selfish person who only want to receive, not giving anything in return. However, my place is small so I can't host any traveler. I can, however, provide you information about cheap hotels and inn near my place. I also available to talk or accompany you for hangout and showing some interesting places and landmark should you come to my city, Yogyakarta.
Also, I learn that the value of things can differ between each person. Which is why, even though I can't help you cut your budget on lodging, I hope I can trade it by sharing with you my skills, knowledge and thought.

Interests

I enjoyed watching anime most. But don't fear you'll having hard conversation with me if you're not otaku (people who obsess about anime) since I also read many books, fiction and non-fiction. I'm also a blogger, which mean I know at least one or two things about writing. My background study is graphic design, feel free to talk about visuals with me. I sometimes design and build papercraft too. I also own a small online shop so I can talk about trading and selling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: definitely jazz. and classics. I also enjoy Japanese music from showa era.
Movies: anything dramatic, I guess
Books: wide varety, ranging from science, history, philosophy, but for fiction I'd rather enjoy movies than novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the neighboring country, Malaysia, to attend AFA 2012 without having to spend any money for accommodation and lodging. All was done by the power of networks.

Went to Japan with only have to pay less than half of total cost. And satisfied with how my plan turn out.
