I am an exchange student from Istanbul, Turkey, and studying Japanese language in Shimonoseki City University, Japan at the moment.

I arrived here on April, 2016 and will be studying until February, 2017. So, it is kind of a short period, but I am trying my best to learn Japanese and enjoy Japan as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My foreign friends from a few different countries suggested Couchsurfing to me. And I couchsurfed with them across Turkey, realized how good this society is to make new friends, share experiences, and to learn interesting stuff from interesting people.
I made up my mind that meeting with new friends with Couchsurfing should be an essential part in my travels from now on. This experience is a must.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent a few really good minutes underwater at 42-meters depth, where the water was very cold, and range of vision was quite low because of low light and high amount of sand we had lifted. It was kind of funny to be in such an extreme place with my friends, but at the same time it was kind of scary to know that there were tons of water between me and the place where I really belong to.

I can share Turkish culture as much as I can.
I would like to exchange stories from our travels around the world.
I've spent a few years in both scuba diving and caving. And I like telling my experiences to those who are interested in extreme sports.
