Hi! I’m Alexander Im Colombian traveler with a big passion for exploring the world and meeting new people. I’ve visited over 40 countries and I’m always looking for new adventures, cultures, stories, and connections.

I love walking through cities, getting lost in the streets, taking photos, and trying local food. I’m also into nightlife — I enjoy going out for drinks, dancing, or just having a fun night with good company.

I’m here to meet locals who can show me their favorite spots, share their culture, or just hang out. I’m also open to meeting fellow travelers to share experiences or split travel costs — it’s always more fun (and budget-friendly) that way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe it’s the best way to truly experience a place — through its people, neighborhoods, and everyday life. It also helps me save money on accommodation so I can travel longer and deeper. When I’m at home, I love to give back and host other travelers too, sharing what I can and creating meaningful exchanges.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a big fan of techno raves and electronic music — I’m actually going to Tomorrowland this year! I also love dancing salsa, reggaeton, dancehall, and bachata. For me, music and dancing are a way to connect with people and fully enjoy the moment. When it comes to books, I’m drawn to topics around emotional awareness, spiritual growth, and love — anything that helps me understand myself and others on a deeper level.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most incredible things I’ve done is travel to over 40 countries — something that felt impossible considering the circumstances I was born into. I come from a background where international travel wasn’t easy or accessible, but I dreamed big and little by little, I’ve been making it happen. At a young age, I’m proud to be living a life I once only imagined, and every journey reminds me how far I’ve come and how much more there is to explore
