Hi my name is Claire. I live in Amsterdam and spent my childhood in Los Angeles. I study Audio-Visual at the Rietveld Academy, an art school in Amsterdam. I make a lot of films and installations. I love listening to music and I love playing too. I also dance, I've been dancing ballet since I was small, but at home I like to hula-hoop and I plan on starting tap dancing after the summer. I spend a lot of time reading, I would love to read more informative books to broaden my knowledge, but I keep getting caught up in fiction :)
Traveling is an important part of my life and I like visiting places a lot more when you're surrounded by locals which is why Couchsurfing is such a great platform for meeting new people and gaining great experiences.

Interests

In the summer I enjoy camping and being in beautiful environments, swimming in lakes, rivers and oceans. In cities I enjoy visiting museums, going to nice restaurants and checking out clubs and concerts.
If it's cold I love curling up in bed with a good book or watching a movie. In Amsterdam I spend a lot of time going to small art house cinema's and meeting with friends for beers.
