ABOUT ME

I love travelling authentically, people watching in different cities, and enjoying the beauties of this world. I never order the same thing when I go to restaurants cause I feel like I need to try everything.

Things I am passionate about..

- languages
Korean, English. working on Spanish and Russian. I love how sounds can represent meaning and idea while it makes non sense for others. I am also part of the Conversation Exchange for that reason.

- drinking
It's probably because I am a bartender, but I am on a constant barventure where I try the most unique or interesting drinks at the bar. Drinks can teach you a lot about the culture and location. In Paris, I must have tried all kinds of wine for the 6 weeks I was there. I also went to the wine museum there. In Costa Rica, I tried this sugar cane liquor called cacique. I've tried curry beer in San Francisco. I appreciate drinks so much more than food thus I have an album called "Barventure."

- music
I played the viola for 10 years and played in an orchestra for +5 years. In my last concert, we played Beethoven's 5th symphony. Even though i am classically trained, I listen to all types of music. I loved going to fete de la musique in Paris, a huge music festival through the entire city of Paris. amazzingg.

- people
this is my underlying motive for everything. that's why i started bartending. i love meeting people from all walks of life! I love reading biographies and different backgrounds.

PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was a broke college student trying to travel through Europe. Although I had my doubts at the beginning after hearing sketchy stories of CouchSurfing, I knew I had to see it for myself cause there are a lot of dumbasses who can't take care of themselves. Anyway, it was amazing and I absolutely love the CS community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

- Rode in a Harley Davidson motorcycle around Barcelona with a badass 63 year old granpa, (also a senior partner at a law firm who loves learning!)

- chatted until 4 am with a philosophy major about bioethics and chicken wings
