ABOUT ME

Hi!
I'm Matteo Metzger, I was born and I'm currently living in the northern Italy (in a small country near Como), but my family has Swiss origin, and I have both Swiss and Italian citizenships.

I'm 22 years old, and I'm an engineer, (just took my university degree (last September) in Mechanical Engineering in Milan (Italy).

I'm taking a "gap year" after my graduation to travel a bit around the world, to improve my english, to meet different people and hopefully to know better myself (and maybe to understand what to do with my life!).

To begin, I decided to go to United States for three months this autumn/winter.

I'm a dinamic and cooperative person, I have a wonderful family a lot of friends here in Italy but no girlfriend, my favourites hobbies are cycling (with the mountan bike particularly (swiss is perfect to do that with all the mountains it has!!)), running, swimming and reading books (I like Ken Follett very much...). In winter I'm also used to go skiing with the snowboard.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went to a CS meeting in Como and in New York City, I have been hosted by different hosts in USA (NYC, DC, Atlanta), I met some couchsurfers in various cities and different situations.

Intereses

Reading, travelling, biking, sports in general (but not football!), I love also to walk, especially in mountain.
