About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Deutsch zu lernen!

ABOUT ME

I'd consider myself friendly and easy-going. I really like to talk to people and to hear other people's opinions and experiences. I have spent the last 5 months in Berlin trying to learn German. I'm now taking a break to travel around Germany and meet German people and see as much of the country and learn as much about the culture as I can! I also really want to try and speak as much German as I can - to use what I've been practising for the last few months!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only heard about couchsurfing since coming to Berlin. So I'm new to this whole thing! I think it is a fantastic idea however and when I go back to Ireland I will definitely be opening up my door to fellow couchsurfers.

Interests

I really enjoy meeting and talking to people from different countries. The last few months in Berlin have been great from this perspective and it has given me the opportunity to meet so many new and interesting people. I enjoy meeting up with friends and having a few beers. I play sport at home. I think I'm interested in a broad range of topics, e.g. politics, art, music, sport, science (anything really!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Love anything with Daniel Day-Lewis (except Licoln!)and Jeremy Irons. Leonard di Caprio always manages to be in good films too! One of my favourite films of all time is "Treed Murray". It is a small Canadian production about a guy who gets mugged and is forced to climb up a tree to get away from his attackers - think Phonebooth, only better!

Music: I love indie music in general, particularly the national (among others!).

Books: I definitely don't read as much as I should! I tend to read more non-fiction books when I do read - as these tend to be more serious, this is probably partly the reason why I don't read enough books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ehhh...not sure...maybe I haven't done anything truely amazing yet - hoping to change this!
