About Me
ABOUT ME
Hey friends!
My name is Will De Silva and I'm currently trekking the world after completing a Bachelor of Science at Monash University, Melbourne (Australia). While studying, I majored in both Geoscience (geology) and Physiology, which has given me a rather diverse perspective of live. But I've found that these sciences don't explain the diversity of life itself (i.e. cultures), and so I'm looking forward to seeing more of this amazing world -perhaps from your couch!
PHILOSOPHY
Not so much my philosophy, but a rather nice quote from the quintessential travelling book -On the Road:
"What is that feeling when you're driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? - it's the too-huge world vaulting us, and it's good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am currently trekking the globe, searching for the next adventure, but I'm very keen to host people upon my return!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I only discovered couchsurfing relatively recently during my US /European travels, but it have been a truly fantastic experience meeting people from all walks of life!
Interests
It's funny because I'm not really a guy with a particular "thing". I'm interested in an array of topics, most notably global current affairs, localised cultures, history, sports, and the great outdoors!
- books
- traveling
- eating out
- socializing
- outdoor activities
- sports

- history
- science
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not amazing in anyway, but I can recognise it when I see it, and the west coast of the US is A-MAZING!
