About Me

Currently on a long bike ride from Hamburg to Oslo with my lovely partner Theo. Testing our strength, but being open to failure :)

Born and raised in Ljubljana, spend my 20s living around Europe (Venice, Milan, Porto, Krakow, Paris, Brussels) and collecting degrees, experiences and friendships, I am now happily settled in Strasbourg, France. I work for the Council of Europe, I enjoy Alsatian wine in the evenings, teach yoga from time to time, and hike in the mountains on weekends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used Couchsurfing during various travels around Europe and hosted as well in my flat in Ljubljana.

This time we are using Couchsurfing to enrich our long bike journey that can sometimes become solitary. It is the hosts that can make a wonderful connection for us between the road, cities, culture and people. We are curious to hear little personal stories about your corner of Europe and enlarge our perception of the world :)

Interests

Loving yoga and all the possible sports adventures! Nature is my inspiration and safe harbour, but I enjoy the vibrant city life and can not get tired of sitting in cafes all day, reading a good book and talk with friends about the latest global news or just a share a gossip to spice the day,

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a book warm, always having at least 2 open books on my night shelf. I am big fan of female authors that are describing the experiences of women in contemporary society (Sally Rooney, Elena Ferrante, Dolly Alderton, Lana Bastarsic) as well as in particular historical moments such as Tove Ditlevsen. This year I have been diving into Japanese literature and was impressed by writings of Ruth Ozeki, Kenzaburo Oe, Yoko Tawada and Kazuo Ishiguro.

But the greatest books I've ever read were, not surprisingly, by Leo Tolstoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I performed with my choir in Sagrada Familia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always up for guiding yoga sessions in the morning to start the day with some movement and connection with oneself. I can also teach you basic steps of many couple dances (salsa, bachata, zouk, swing, rock) as well as some folk group dances.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Serbia, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia
