Обо мне

I'm a relaxed, open-minded, and proud Colombian, currently living in Germany where I’m doing my PhD in Rural Sustainability. My biggest goal in life is to contribute to a better world—starting with my country and extending globally. I believe that positive change is possible, and I’m passionate about being part of that process.

I absolutely love traveling and learning from different cultures. Meeting new people, hearing diverse perspectives, and seeing the world through others’ eyes enriches my life and challenges me to grow.

I’m especially interested in Middle Eastern history, culture, food, society, and politics. There’s so much depth, beauty, and complexity to explore in that region, and I’m always eager to learn more.

Whether it’s a deep conversation about global issues or just sharing stories and laughs over a meal, I genuinely enjoy connecting with people. I believe everyone has the right to develop their own identity and worldview — that's what makes humanity so diverse and beautiful.

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to understand the world is through the people who live in it. Hotels and tourist spots can be fun, but nothing compares to the experience of sharing stories, meals, and perspectives with locals or fellow travelers.

For me, Couchsurfing is about human connection, cultural exchange, and breaking down borders—both literal and mental. It’s a beautiful way to learn, grow, and contribute to a more open and compassionate world. Whether I’m hosting or being hosted, I always try to bring kindness, curiosity, and respect into every interaction.

I also love the spontaneous, genuine nature of the Couchsurfing community. It reminds me that no matter where we come from, we all have something to share.

Музыка, кино и книги

My taste in music is pretty diverse—I enjoy everything from indie rock to Latin rhythms. Some of my favorite artists include Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, and Juan Luis Guerra, whose music blends poetry and social commentary in a powerful way. I also vibe to modern Latin urban music like Feid and Karol G, especially when I want to feel connected to home or just enjoy good energy.

When it comes to books, I’m deeply moved by literature that explores the human condition. I admire the psychological depth of Dostoevsky and Franz Kafka, and the poetic, surreal worlds of Gabriel García Márquez, a fellow Colombian whose writing shaped my love for storytelling. I also appreciate the existential insight of Milan Kundera and the timeless reflections in Tolstoy’s works. I enjoy authors who challenge the way we see life, identity, and society.

I enjoy films that are thoughtful, visually rich, or politically insightful—whether it’s classic cinema, indie films, or documentaries. I’m always up for a good recommendation, especially from cultures I’m less familiar with!

Чем я могу поделиться с хостами

I love meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and sharing good energy. As a guest, I always try to be respectful, helpful, and curious. I enjoy cooking (especially Colombian dishes, like Arepas!), so if you're up for it, I'd be happy to prepare a traditional meal or even just share some coffee and stories from back home.

Coming from Colombia and living in Germany while researching rural sustainability, I can offer unique insights into Latin American culture, development issues, and global perspectives. I also have a deep interest in Middle Eastern history and contemporary issues, so if you enjoy talking about culture and world affairs, we’ll definitely have a lot to discuss.

Beyond that, I can share music, books, and travel experiences—or just some relaxed time getting to know each other. I value kindness, respect, and open-mindedness, and I always try to bring that into every space I’m welcomed into.
