Some Facts about my Life as a Conceptualist

I'm an artist, an inventor, a designer, a sculptress, an informant.
Everything in a medley.
I became an inventor due to the fact that our third child, Madeleine,
was born with a severe handicap. She wasn't capable of moving and
talking, and suffered from difficulties with breathing etc.
One of Madeleine's doctors stated his opinion on her as seriously
retarded. I succeeded in showing quite the opposite by developing a
coordinate system, which gave her the chance to communicate.

Madeleine passed away 1993, 9 years old. To overcome my grief after her
death, I started a frenetic work of creation. I began to crochet
dresses from copper wire. They are made out of industrial waste as
plastic, metal, beads, plastic tubes, and rings - whatever item which comes in my way I make use of it and turn it into a work of art - often together
with light and sound effects.

I'm an autodidact combined with the "Gift" of dyslexia and dyscalculia, I count my disabilities as my advantage. What may be looked upon from
others as a misfortune, I see as my asset, my creative power. This is
an insight which I want to spread to all those who look down on people
with any kind of metall or phisicall disorder.
I'm very privileged - I always count on a number of people who
constantly are there for me, and accept my shortcomings.

Since my humanitarian work extends over the border and I have been keeping truck of all my work to be shown abroad, the English language is a must.
To be able to continue with my work I really wish that you'll appreciate the efforts I have made to spread my thoughts through my good will.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard of couchsurfing through some sudents and I loved the idea as by that time (at least 10 years ago) I´d already been working on my late daughter Madeleine´s Kodmunicat in System.

To introduce this System which objectiv is to include all possible children with or with out speech dis"ABILITIES" and travelling is the main way to be able to shareand a great opportunity to learn and expirience all

Madeleine was born with an aberration between 2 of her chromosomes plus Cerebral pulsy, due to all these difficult complications I became an Innovator and during the 9 years of her life all I did was to create different devices in order to make her tough and painful life more easy.

I just arrived from a 2 months trip back to Bogotá were I visit my family and friens and had also teh chance to introdue Madeleine´s System to some people interested in this area.

I also visited Durham in North Carolina which is a wonderful city and specially the Latin people who are s friendly and wh also met in Dallas...I felt as there were just Hispaniels all over where ever I went.

Fimnally I visited Washington DC wich for me was the most veautiful city I´ve ever visit!

I love the Museums and the wonderful people all around, everybody is kind and polite and so helpful!

It was sad to leave and of course now that I´ve the standby ticket would love to go back specially to Alexandria where the most beautiful part of my family

Unfortunately I could never open tis web page after a bad expirience with a member, I snet many messages to the Couch susrfing ffice but I never received any answer s after opening my home for many members, at the time that I needed to visit other countries I just couldn´t even open my profile.

Interests

Working for my fellow man is what I´ve been doing ever since I was little.

At the Javeriana University in Bogotá I studied Social Communication u to the 3 semester but all I´d in my mind at that time was to lear English and to travel around which I did until I ended here in Sweden where I got married and due to all the complications with my third daugter Madeleine wh I mentioned before, my focus was kept on her and the way to solve all the infinite problems that we daily had to encounter ...an difficulty which truly is the Mother of Invention brought me to the world of Crytology as a tool to communicate with Madeleine and today Cryptology is my daily andgreat interest.

I´ll be travelling to Congo with the porpuse of meeting the so well known "Witch Children" in order to find the way to change their situation.

´love to find a family there who could put my niece Luisa Warren and myself up for at least a week.

And that is were I´m right now.

Right after my arrival home to Jönköping I heard through a colleague inventor that one oof his friends is working in Congo with the Red Cross so I´ll be also getting in contact with him an possibly join the Swedish the Cross as I find it neccesary at this stage were I can really do all for the people i care most for and who are the one swho has a hard life just as my daugheter had!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Miserables by Victor hugo is the book that together with Crime and Punishment are the books that had a deep impact in my life.

To see children sleeping on a pavement by the heavy traffic in Bogotá and know that this situation is a reality in most part of the world for so many touches me deeply and travelling is the best way t get closser to people and perhaps one day no sofar away I´ll be putting into practice ll the real expiriences and be there for the less privileged people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be a mother of a child with so many special needs and to have the chance to be tehre for her and take part of such an amazing expirience specially when she was the onewho gave it all and left me with a mission too continue after she left this world!

Thanks to my late daughter Madeleine and her endless wisdom I´ve been working on her legacy which was a Communication System.

As socal Artist I´m vey interested in people´s ways to reach for each other and always open for new challenger when it comesto help the people in need!
