to travel around the world for a year on a tiny budget

ABOUT ME

We are Stephen and Gina, two mid-20 somethings who are 8 months into a year long trip around the world. So far we've been to S. America and all over Asia and we're now on our way to Europe to travel and WWOOF in Croatia for 2 months. We recently got engaged and are planning to tie the knot in Berlin, Germany where we met five years ago at a bus stop. When we get back to the States Gina will (hopefully) be going to graduate school for literacy education and Stephen will be looking for a job in the crappy economy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've been interested in CouchSurfing for a while, but since we've previously lived in shared housing situation it was hard to get involved. But now we're on the road and will be moving once we get back in the States, so we'll have our own couch or floor space available. We've had a great time traveling, meeting new people, and offering up places to stay with us if they ever make it to California.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered as an English teacher in rural China. To be surrounded by such poverty but so much joy--it was life changing.
