ABOUT ME

Hello fellow couchsurfers! My name is Emely (yes, with an e instead of an i!) I'm 24 years old, and new to the couchsurfing experience though I've known about it and thought about partaking for a few years now.

What can I tell you about myself? I am married to the sweetest man I know. He's currently overseas, and most of my travelling involves going to see him. He's from Cuba, so as of right now a lot of my surfing adventures would be on my way there. I'm very experienced with all the hidden gems of the island, as well as the discos, culture, language, and things you should know! If you ever decide to go, or want to learn more, I am definitely your lady.

I've lived in Edmonton basically all my life, and the last five years of it have been back in forth living in Edmonton and in Cuba. I was recently there for a month and a little in March/April 15.

I like to think that I'm very quiet guest, but when you get me talking I never stop! I'm very respectful, and very courteous. If you ever need a hand, I'm always there to help! I'm usually quite the home body. I like to stay in and watch movies, or read books. I try to stay out of everyones way, to make things comfortable for you and for me.

My mind is completely open to everything. I feel that as human beings that is exactly what we are, and no one has the right to discriminate based on any gender, color, sexuality, etc. I love people for exactly that - that they are people!

I am still learning who I am, and I am excited to be able to grow and learn everyday. I hope to make lots of new friends, and meet lots of amazing people on my journey. :)

I am new to the CS community, and I'm really hoping to become a bigger part of it, hosting and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any couchsurfing experience yet! I'm looking forward to trying it and becoming an experienced surfer.

兴趣

I enjoy movies of all sorts, discovering new music. I love to dance, I like to experience new cultures and I love animals (I've got a yorkie cross, and he's pretty much the love of my life). I like to make new friends who are as easy going and always up for a good chat and adventure! I like to stay involved with my cuban culture, and am always playing and listening to the newest music, and staying up with the news.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've jumped through a waterfall and into a natural spring, that just kept going and going and going - good thing I can swim! It was a beautiful experience.
