Let's go back a while ago, i was a seafarer during many years. I worked on all kind of ships. Now, i work in maritime law in order to enhance and preserve the seafarer quality of life. I'll be honest, it's the cheapest way to travel. Nevertheless, i find it awesome to be a guest and to receive one. You're not accepting a client (as with as hostel or even an airbnb), you really receive a guest. I think you are much more attentive to his or hers well-being as a guest.
