After traveling and working for four years I ended up in north Sweden, Umeå, to study biology. I love spending time outdoor whether it is for hiking, studying or hanging out for a coffee or a beer in a park. I spent a year in Australia traveling by car or bus, working at farms or bars and of course exploring as much as possible. And in Cairns I met one of my best friends who I one year later traveled around in South America with.

I really love traveling but I also noticed after a while that I wanted to learn more about what one sees hiking, diving or when ever so that is why I'm studying biology. And also because i watched Free Willy a 100 times as a kid and since then i wanted to study wales. The ultimate goal is to become a marine biologist and travel the world... have heard my dream isn't that original. But i'll be one of the few who makes it come true!

So this summer I'll be traveling around Sweden when I get time off work. My plan is Stora Karlsö, Gotland, Lysekil, Gothenburg and down the west coast to Kullaberg. Hopefully I'll meet some nice people along the way, which is what it's all about :))

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people of course. But I love the idea of helping each other out and getting the best experience out of a city. Or when you're just in need of a couch for a night there is always nice to be able to help out or get the help. It also makes traveling a bit more unpredictable and you might get to see a bit of the culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed at a host in Townsville and I had a really good time. My host took me to his job, which was at the naval base in Townsville. That was a really good piece of culture that I would not have seen otherwise. And that is what I love about CS, the things you get to see that would be missed simply touristing.
