About Me

My name is Charlotte, I'm 22 and I'm studying advertising and communication in Paris.
I'm usually a bit shy at first but I can adapt very quickly to people I'm hanging out with. My friends say I'm funny and outgoing.
I REALLY love cats but dogs are quite cool too :)
I want to travel to know more about the world and challenge myself. I'm very open minded and I love to discover new cultures. When I love something, I really want to discover all of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that visiting a country while staying with locals is a much more immersive experience. I don't want to stay in a hotel that will look the same in every country of the world.
I think it's a great way of meeting people that I will usually not be able to talk to and to overcome shyness.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost every kind of music but my favorite type will always be rock n roll. I grew up with The Rollig Stones, The Doors, Pink Floyd, ACDC, Guns n Roses, Led Zep, Queen, Queen of the Stone Age, etc...

I really love reading so it's difficult to chose but I'll say :
- Les Fleurs du Mal (Baudelaire) because I dream to be able to write like him and to create such unique atmospheres around my texts
- On the Road (Kerouac) because this way of travelling is a fantasy of mine
- The Lion (Kessel) because it's one of the most beautiful and purest love story I've ever read
- Harry Potter because... it's awesome !

My favorite movies : A Clockwork Orange / Requiem for a Dream / Mommy / All the Chaplin movies / Star Wars

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did some wild camping on an abandoned island for 5 days, I was with my father and a friend of mine. We did not have food so we had to fish and find vegetables on the island. We went there by foot during low tide (2.30 hours walk) so we couldn't go back home until the next tide.
We celebrated the 14th of July on the island watching the fireworks launched from the cost.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'll love to teach french to people if they are willing to ! I'm patient and I know how difficult this language is for the non-native so don't worry, I'll be nice with you :)

I'd love to learn more about the country I'm visiting, the culture, the food, the traditions, how to behave, the do and don't... I'm very curious and I'll do my best to respect the way of life of the country I'm visiting.

I'd like to share a meal, a drink, my love for books and my thoughts on the world. Share yours with me please !
