CURRENT MISSION

Working in Italy, then off to travel in Iran and the Philipines.

ABOUT ME

Hi! Last year I left my life in The Netherlands behind to travel. I had enough of working in an office (communications & marketing for NGO's) and sold my apartment and my stuff to search for another way of life, learn more about different cultures and meet fun and interesting people.

The first part of my journey I hitchhiked and worked as a volunteer along the way. I have been volunteering in France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Turkey: for organic farms, an ecological center, the Italian Horse Protection Association and several couples who live a self-sufficient life. After that I travelled through Thailand and Laos, and went back to Turkey to help a friend to get his hotel ready for the tourist season. At the moment I am working in Italy, saving up for my next travels: Iran and the Philipines!

I have a very broad range of interests. Needless to say I love traveling, meeting new people and adventure. I'm very interested in food and a pretty good cook who loves to experiment and make other people happy with nice meals and I hope that food will be part of what I end up doing in the future. I like going out to dance, or have long conversations. Books, movies, art and music are also important for me.

City life can be great and lots of fun, but I also love to be in nature and go for walks or bike rides. I'm interested in organic food production, permaculture and eco-friendly building. My dream for the future is to live a self-sufficient peaceful life with a group of like-minded people!
