Hey there!

My name is Cathy, I'm 31 years old and I live in Lille (the north of France).

I've been travelling the last few years in the different countries of Europe and trying to learn about other cultures.
But, not being adventurous enought led me to know people's culture only trough books or internet (and we all know how that went ^^).

I spend my childhood travelling with my parents for their job and sometimes we even lived in some of those countries for a couple of years.
I remember as a child being sad to leave a place and set up a new home in a different one. But what I also remember, is the hapiness I felt when I made new friends, getting the opportunity to taste new food (I love eating!), learning a new language, making great memories with my siblings.
When I became an adult, I wished to have that feeling again: that of leaving "thousands" of lives with great and different people.
As I said before, even though I've had the occasion to travel, I am not bold enough to meet up with the locals and say "Hey! Tell me your story and i will tell you mine".
I want to change that and I think that couch surfing is the perfect place for that.

So, "hey there, stranger, I hope that you will be happy to welcome me to your home cause I'm looking foward to it!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to discover the world, its people and their culture. I want to have something to tell in my old days because there are so many great things on our globe. ;D

- I'm a globe-totter: without the adventurous part, remember it ^^
- I am a bookworm: enjoying reading drama's, detective and young adult novels (yeah, shame on me!)
- I am athletic: my current sport activities are classic danse, running, fitness and swimming
- I am crazy about gastronomy: translation = I love eating nice food
