ABOUT ME

It's kind of hard to write all about me but here we go. I am American, born and raised in Ohio. I now live in France with my French husband right outside of Paris. I love to travel and I am extremely passionate about langauges and European history. I am currently without a job, though I spent last year teaching English in Paris and expect to be doing the same as soon as I get working papers for France.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a new member, but I hope to surf some couches and meet some new people soon! Otherwise, I am happy to show people around Paris or meet up for a drink or anything. However, as mine and my husband's apartment is an extremely tiny studio, I currently cannot host, but hope to in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed much, usually just with friends or friends of friends. I have stayed with friends of friends to visit Nancy, France and Zurich, Switzerland and both were great experiences! Very useful for getting to really know the city you are visiting!

Interests

I adore traveling. I love to see new places, meet new people, and experience new things! I am exteremely interested in languages and history, especially European history. I love to read, mostly historical fiction and historical thrillers, but I am open to most books! I am also interested in photography. In enjoy politics and political discussion/debate. I like to swim and play baseball. I also enjoy cooking and learning about/tasting/drinking different beers and wines.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: historical fiction/historical thrillers and classics...too many to name!
Movies: mostly girly movies/romantic comedies/comedies but I enjoy the occassional action movie as well. however, I am deathly afraid of horror movies!!!
Music: My favorites are Eve 6, Jimmy Buffett, Cake, Matchbox 20, I also enjoy music from the 80s and 90s...I generally like most everything.
