Akangau Jungle Expeditions is a Kichwa-run agency here in Tena, Amazon (3 hours from Baños, 5/6 hours from Quito, 9 hours from Guayaquil ) that has strong community ties offering authentic jungle tours.

All our tours are founded on sustainable, community centered eco-tourism principles and we offer a variety of ways to explore the jungle.
We can design a trip to specifically meet your needs and desires. The duration of our tours depends entirely on you the visitor and your requirements. Any of tour options can be altered or combined just tell us what you want and we will customise a tour for you.
We offer tours in Spanish and English. All our guides are licensed by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism.

Travellers participate in community activities and daily life. This is more of a cultural exchange and a real chance to experience Kichwa Community life from learning to speak Kichwa, cook typical food, build a knowledge about medicinal plants and to make typically jewellery from natural fibres and seeds.

The community can help travellers who wish to see more of the surrounding areas by offering discounted jungle in Tena, to the Yasuni National Park, Limoncocha Biological Reserve,Shaman RItual,Grand Canyon and rafting on the Jatun Yacu River.
