ABOUT ME

I am a French student from Paris doing an exange program for one year at the University of Chicago, attending coourses and teaching french as well.
I like to meet new places and new people, to share experiences. I am easy to get along with, curious, always willing to chat, and I am never in conflict with people.

I like meeting people from all over the world, so that they share their experiences and a part of their culture with me. I also like sharing what I know about the places I live in, wheter it be Paris, where I have been living for for years, or Chicago where I live know.
I love travelling, especially because you don't only discover new places, but also new people! I try to take every opportunity I have to take my backpack, move out of my place, and discover new ones!

Interessi

I like travelling, not only in cities, but also hiking in the mountains. I like reading, literature as well as the news, listening to music, going to museum. I practise sport regularly - running, field hockey, football ( "soccer"). I like going out with friends

Musica, film e libri

I read pretty much all kind of literature. I like the Frech authors of the 19th (Zola, Maupassant, Flaubert), but I try to read some foreign literature: among US authors, I like Steinbeck, Mark Twain; I read Agatha Christie's crime novel; and I hope I could read Chekhov in Russian some day :)
I like many kind of music, but especially rock classic bands, folk music, jazz, blues. I really discover the Chicago Blues this year and I really enjoy going to clubs to listen to it. I also like classical music and I have played flute for a long time.

Two Chicago - NYC 17-hours trips by bus within for days during the Winter... Pretty harsh experience!

I like exploring the cities I live in, and what I like more is to share my experiences and knowledges with newcomers. I can talk a lot about French history, society, politics and culture, and I know Paris very well, since I have been walking and riding a bike across the city for 4 years.
I am very curious and always want to learn many things about the places I am visiting, especially the history, the art and architecture.
I am very interested in languages, wheteher it be to practise those that I already know, or to try to mumble some words in new ones!!

I can share my experiences of the places I know (France, but also Chicago and the Balkans too), as well as my good mood, some jokes, and of course, some samples of the French cuisine : wine, crêpes,... provided it's not frog or snails!
