ABOUT ME

I'm a positive, fun 25 year old, who's had enough of the tiny cold, country she's lived in all her life, and wants to explore the world! I am currently traveling in Australia and would be honoured to spend more time with locals. Have been living in Melbourne for 4 months, and north of Cairns for 3, before hitting the road with my friends and traveling down the east coast. Now back to exploring on my own!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just to find something different than the typical hostel experience, really. It was fun while it lasted, but I prefer meeting people who actually live in the country I'm visiting, instead of fellow European backpackers ;) Pick your brain, expand my horizon.
Also, since I'm living on a backpackers budget and hostels are eating a big part of my savings, surfing helps me stay downunder that little bot longer :)

Interests

I'm a bit of a bookworm, and love to dig into someone's shelf when possible. I tend to sing along to every song I know, it's a habit I'm learning to break ;) I love long, stretched out dinners with good company, and spontaneous little adventures. Traveling is a new passion, as I've been too busy studying before. When the weather is nice (this can be tricky in the Netherlands) I love to sail, swim or surf. Anything water related is right up my alley! Other than that I'm just curious to learn more about different people and lifestyles.
