Hi travellers! My name is Manon, I am a Dutchie living in the best city of the Netherlands: Rotterdam.
I would advise everybody to visit my city when you're in the Netherlands. Where Amsterdam can be packed with tourists and is really expensive, Rotterdam has wide streets, great architecture and hidden secrets when it comes to eating/drinking/partying. Please feel free to ask me anything about my city, or of course come and stay at my place so I can tell you irl!

I also love to go abroad of course, with others or, maybe preferably, by myself. I love traveling alone because it really makes me realise what makes me me, what my interests are and which people I really like. But I also love to go somewhere with friends, just to have fun and explore the friendship.
My favorite city is Berlin, I am still dreaming of living there once, and I always cry when I have to leave..

But I feel at home in my queer community everywhere: the first thing I do when I go somewhere is look for the places where we can really be ourselves. That is the eternal quest for beauty, as Oscar Wilde put it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing, but up till now I have never used it, because I always found people through friends..but I wish for the world to be a place where you can aks people stuff, and not feel guilty about asking, because asking itself feels like a completely natural thing to do.
I want everyone to feel welcome at my place, and I hope I can make people feel welcome at their own place while I'm staying there just the same :)
