Hi! My name is Maureen and this year I am traveling Europe, South Africa, and Asia! I just graduated in psychology and hope to start a non-profit that partners with drug rehabilitations to provide exercise and nutrition classes. I am spending the year visiting drug rehabilitaitons around the world while I travel to get a better understanding of different culture's interpretations of addition and how they deal with it. But I also love having fun, and am very sarcastic (I think I am jsut the right amount). I feel like traveling is giving me my own eat, pray, love experience in a way and courch surfers is the love part (not romantically!!) I am really trying to understand what love looks like and how it is lived out and what motivates people to offer kindness to strangers, so CS baffles me and constantly is helping me learn.

I am couch surfing because I LOVE meeting new people and hearing their stories, and want an authentic experience not just to be a tourist. I cant wait until i get back to the USA in September so I can start hosting in Atlanta, so all are welcome...one I find somewhere to live first.

Rat race is my favorite movie. I wish I knew more music, I honestly haven't invested the time to research off the grid artists. I feel like most of what I have read lately have been textbooks...which can be interesting I guess. I really like fiction books that go back and forth between different characters points of view.
