About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the most I can see, eat the most I can eat, dance the most I can dance before I die!

My professional mission is to work for communities development. As an architect-urbanist, I am concerned about spatial justice for people. I feel privileged for having had many opportunities to grow in life. I am intent to put my knowledge and expertise in the service to other to contribute with them to grow as well.

ABOUT ME

Im very kind, smily and helpfull person, a good listener and i love to exchange stories. I dont like to make problems, if i´m good with u i expect u are good with me as well.

I live alone since i have 17 so i can be by my own. I have two parents, two beatiful sister, and 4 nephews that i love so much. I love dogs and cats.
I love to invite friend for dinner, since i live alone i always want so much people in my house.

About my personality, I am easy-going and tolerant, I practice and really apreciate empathy. Sometime I can not connect with people that lack empathy (specially is hard to connect with people who dont kindly smile back ) but as I understand people are different and I enjoy diversity we can even have a respectful friendly relationship.

What I most defend is freedom and independence. I love independent people and love be surrounded by empowered people who have strong believes and principles.

I consider my self as an organized person, but I have cycles. Some days I can be a very obsessed planner. Others I just enjoy the flow of events. And in both moments I also want to be respected and appreciated. I stopped being judge mental many years ago when I found out the person I want to be. I understood we can not imagine what adversities someone had to overcome to get the place they are, so we can only be grateful of having the oppotunity to share life together and respect each other and try to see the kindness in our hearts.

Recently I found out I have an ambivert personality. This means I have qualities of both extrovert and introvert. Thats the reason I can get along with almost everybody, that is the reason of the cycles in myvlife as well. Sometimes I feel amazing being part of a huge group, dancing in noisy clubs, being chatty. Sometimes the same activities take my energy away and sometime I just want to chill under fluffy blankets reading peacefully with a cup of coffee.

Principles and respect and smile are key to have a great relationship with me.
:)

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy the process! Happiness is the process of getting better. Better person, better citizens, better dauther, friend, lover.

"The lack of resources can only sparks our resourcefulness." This means to me that you can always find the way to thrive. Not having much can be the best motivation you need to pressure your self to give more and grow.

Hakuna - Matata
Life is to short to take everything too serious. Train yourself to find the most valuable part of any unconfortable, awkward, outrage situation. Learn what you have to learn and let it go. You will laugh about it later.

See the glass half full.
Currently I am trainning myself to always see the opportunities in any adversity. Even when something may seem against my rules, I will find the bright side and will be gratefull for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Honestly, I started in couchsurfing because it was a cheaper way to travel knowing kind local people who you can host later. It sounds a perfect deal to me specially if you can rate your experience with them. Later I found out how wonderful is to connect with strangers that you might never meet again. Fortunatelly, most of my guests are my friends now and we are still in touch.

A second important reason for me I that I can practice my english speaking. Thanks to my last 3 guests I was able to passed my toefl exam. They were very kind of helping me to improve my grammar and vocabulary. As a return I taugh them spanish using a proper whiteboard for the classes.

Couchsurfing can be as helpful for everyone as your imagination wants!

Interests

I like art, design, architecture and cities.
I like to visit galleries and museums but recently I enjoy and I am more interested in visit art in public spaces and walk public spaces. I love watch people interacting each other. I learn so much from people making the city in the streets. Plus, I am very interested in making architecture hunting. Even when I work for small communities, I love visiting huge cities, dense downtowns and admiring amazing skylines. This give me the feeling of the greatness of humanity. The power we have and how we have the potential to use it for bringing progress to everyone. As well, am interested in history of cities even better if they are urban legends or something like that.

I am interested in any activity outdoors. For example, I love to take the bike in the morning and lost me between the streets just for fun or in my way to work. Im getting better in tennis playing once a week so I would like to play sometime with you if have time.

I love to go out to dance salsa until I get absolutely tired :) . Even when I am not am expert yet, I dance as I feel the flow of salsa in my veins. Also, I would like to learn bachata.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I prefer genres more than artist: salsa, jazz, bossa nova, R&B, bachata.

Movies, my favorites are thrillers and action and science fiction movies. Hate terror and gore movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, in 2012 I got lost in japan just with an iphone, I traveled through 3 cities in tree days: Osaka, Kyoto y Tokyo... it was the experience of my life. And I went back in Shinkansen (the superexpress railway) to my sister´s house in a tiny city of japan.

Recently I was granted for the most amazing scholarship I could ever find, after two tough years of hard working, I finally made it and now I am moving to London!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach

I can teach you to measure the world with your body. I was train to do that in college. I can say the size of a room just looking at it and be very precise ;)

Of course, I would love to teach you spanish and some portuguese. I do have a whiteboard in my home where you can keep you new vocabulary.

Learn

I am a curious cat, so whatever craft you possess I will be interest in. I love using my hand and get dirty if necessary.

If you are an english native speaker please contribute correcting my grammar whenever we talk and give me new vocabulary whenever you want. I will really appreciate it.

In particular, I would like to learn watercolor paiting. Specially even more now that I visit China. I love chinease paiting and they look like they can be done with watercolor.

Share

In Lima, Trujillo and Chimbote (my hometown) I can give you great advice to find good food in not expensive popular restaurant.

Even when I bearly stand cooking, I do use cooking to spoil my beloved ones, sometimes. So if you are very very nice with me I may want to cook something peruvian or pasta. I can help others to cook, you can have nice talks cooking with company and some wine or beer.

If you are into tennis or sports I would live to join you jogging, trekking, biking or other outdoor activity. We can share picnics as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When I am the host I like to entertain my guest taking them some places if they want but if not its ok for me as well, because I understand they might hace their own plans in visiting the city. What I definitely expect from is at least share some meals together.

So in the same view, I can offer my host having great time together eating, I can invite you dinner or lunch and for me that is the best moment to share stories and wisedom, because, I usually do not stay at home much time, but I do want to connet with and if you are available I can take you in my architectural hunting.

I offer to follow all house rules and leave my space as I found it or better.
