ABOUT ME

My name is Petra. I started to travel when I was studying MA studies. We traveled with my friend by hitchhiking. After some time I started to travel again, at first it was because of my work at the university, and I realized that I still enjoy it :-). I used to travel to south countries, now I am discovering slowly those in the northern part of Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

One of our greatest philosophers and teachers John Amos Comenius once wrote: "The man who saw one cow - he saw all the animals in the world, the man who saw one tree - he saw all plants all around the world. The aim of the traveling should be wise people they are worth to travel to."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you write me I will offer you a bed if it is possible but certainly I will offer to you a useful guide line to our town and I will take you to a commented trip :-).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences with "couchsurfing" were from the time when this site even didn´t exist and it was always very good :-). We, Czechs, traveled a lot on our own.

兴趣

I enjoy all kind of plaesant intellectual debates. I am movie fan and I am also interested in natural science, visual arts and design architecture and urbanism, nature and culture. My current work (linguistics) also forms a part of my interests.

音乐、电影和书籍

I like world cinematography - from european I like most Hungarian, Danish, French and English movies ... but there are also many exceptions from other countries ... from other continents I like Japanese and Russian cinematography, Hong Kong movies ...
Regarding music it is the same thing - too many genres, too many history, too many countries to answer this question quickly ... :-) Due to the fact that I studied philology and I had to read a lot of fiction I enjoy now to read books about natural science, sociology, anthropology and, of course, about linguistics.
