ABOUT ME

At my core I'm a creative soul. On my art side I enjoy painting murals, drawing, making music on drum machines and hosting art jams. On my design side I went to school at OCAD for Industrial Design and have designed furniture, lighting, appliances, kitchen utensils, fashion, print, web and more. My current occupation is cofounder of Homefed - a marketplace for sharing home cooked meals. Like CS but for food :)

I think it's too easy to let your life be governed by fear, so I try to bring happiness into my life and others. I am usually magnetized to people with alternative philosophies and their own unique spin on life. I also think anyone can be creative or fantastic and try not to categorize or write people off based on assumptions.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to both host and surf on CS. I have several friends that have had life changing experiences through CS and I'd love the opportunity to meet some of the amazing people that make this community great.

I'm still a newb. :)

Interests

Learning new things. Travel. Helping others. Reggae jams with a lot of bass. Vinyl and old music. Learning to partner dance. Slowly. I have been slacking lately. I'm also a big technology person, but I don't believe it's the most important thing. Human connection and hugs are much better. I like to eat healthy. I practice yoga and enjoy biking, hiking and outdoor activities. I also know how to build things. I built an outdoor wood fired sauna at my old house from scratch.

Music, Movies, and Books

rep cinemas over big movie theatres. Books like the Alchemist with a story that includes a journey. I also like reading books like "how to build your own garage" or "electical basics" I don't watch a lot of TV /Movies these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat still for hours on a hill overlooking beauty while the sun set on my face. Staying quiet and listening to the sounds of this world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more languages. I wan to learn to cook more international foods. I want explore the world and see how others experience this planet.
I can teach you lots of ways to be creative and show you some of the more interesting spots in my hometown.
