ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly, happy, easy-going girl who loves to learn, grow, have a good chinwag, laugh and generally have fun. I hate getting stuck in a rut which means I love travelling and moving around! I'd love to chat and share ideas over tea or a beer, whichever you prefer.

I was born in Pretoria, South Africa, moved to Christchurch, New Zealand when I was 5 with my family, left them for sunny Brisbane when I graduated high school where I lived for a year before doing the massive 4,500km road trip across Australia's Nullarbor to Perth to study Forensics, Biomed and Molecular Biology! Now, at the start of my third year I'm at Lund Uni, Sweden studying abroad and travelling around Europe!

Playing and watching all kinds of sport, travelling, science, forensics and crime, people, many outdoor activities, reading, (love to listen to, terrible at making) music, craft beers, sharing and learning new things!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love almost all types of music, movies and books!
Movies - any good Drama, War, Crime, Comedy, Suspense or Action
Music - Indie, R&B, Rap, anything funky that makes me want to sip a red wine and relax, or dance!
Books - I love to read and will read almost anything from a book about facts to a non-fiction novel with a message that improves my life to science fiction about a discworld on the back of four elephants riding on the back of a turtle to crime novels. :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-11 desert camels, 5 big red kangaroos and one huge wombat whilst driving across the Nullarbor.
-Travelling around northern and eastern Thailand for three weeks, spending a day with an elephant named Miguel who tried to buck me off when I was riding him along a cliff.
-Sea-kayaking to a beautiful uninhabited island in southern Thailand and exploring
-Sky-diving for my 21st from 15,000ft above the most stunning scenery in Queenstown, New Zealand
-Seeing the difference between the arid, dry lakes and cliffs in Kalbarri, in northern Western Australia to the luscious green forests in southern Western Australia to all the soft, white sanded, sunny beaches in between.

I can share about cell biology and biochemistry, forensics, sports, basic cooking skills and how to move your life to a new country.
