About Me

Im a student, almost finished with my masters degree. Im studying to be a math teacher but I love exploring other things as well. Im also a volunteer, usually to help children to learn or to babysit them. Otherwise I give math instructions or work in school when is possible.

I save all my money for travelling because I like meeting new people, trying new food and getting to explore new countries and cultures.

Last summer I was trying to get out of my comfort zone and was travelling alone for the first time. I went to Spain for 4 weeks (mostly Andalusia) and then to Gambia for 7, where I was also working as a volunteer in a local summer school. Both countries impressed me so much that I moved to Sevilla two months after I returned from Gambia. I stay there till the pandemic... But in meantime I also visited Gambia again where I connected with the local organisation Go Support Gambian Children, where I met the most amazing people and got life changing experiences with teaching mathematics in a local school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im travelling solo and I thing this is the best way to meet new people and to share experiences with each other. Its also a good way to save up some money, since Im still a student.

Right now I cant accept any guests cos Im still living with my mom, but when I will go to my own place, I will make up for it :)

Interests

I always travel around my city with a bicycle because I find it the best transport. I dont like crowds in a buses or finding a place to park a car. And you are the fastest with the bike, specially in my town, cos its not so big. Is the capital of Slovenia, but we are quite a small country.

I also like skiing and I would like to learn how to snowboard one day.
I also like swimming and would like to learn how to surf (I tried it once but I wasnt really good in it). Maybe also how to dive (still have time to try all that).

When I hang out with my friends, I love to play board games with them or go to explore some hidden places in our country. Sometimes we also visit some concerts or plays. I specially like musicals.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im trying to get some time for reading, but I usually do it just on vacation. I love books from Paulo Cuelho. Usually in the evening when Im at home all tired from the day, I watch some series or movies. I like drama, actions movies and musicals. T
Lately I mostly watch spanish series which are also good for me to practise the language.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing I did when travelling was to spend the night in Sahara under the million of stars, lying in the sand on the top of the dune and with nomad people. It was the night I will never forget and I want to experience it once again.
