One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacking round Itally. From coasts, to country to cities, it's hard not to get drawn into their appetite for simply enjoying life, not to mention their sensational pallet. I met a family sailing from Venice round the coast to the island of Capri who took me under their wing for a few weeks when they found out i could sail. I never would have got to explore in quite the way i did without them.

America. I lived and worked in New York, then Miami for 5 months last year over the summer. I worked on a camp, then in the city, then went down to Miami. I learned very quickly that language does not constitute the same culture. I've never seen a city quite as vast as New York. It changed into another place with every turn. The mountains of up-state New York were incredible.... even though the weather was, lets just say, particularly unpredictable. I'm so glad i got the opportunity to experience it when i did, and the way i did. I'll always remember midnight swims in the lake and bonfires in the woods.. never again do i want to be surprised by a bear though haha
