About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn more about the world and its people.

ABOUT ME

I am presently retired from working as a school psychologist, teacher and administrator in the public schools in the USA. Presently, I care for a house on a lake and its consequent duties. I enjoy reading, am a political activist, an am trying to grow spiritually by meditating daily. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and learning about other cultures. I also enjoy socializing with friends and colleagues.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life by trying to find its meaning in spirituality, a spirituality that I try to live with others in my daily life. I involve myself in political actions and activities because I hate injustice and feel that much of this comes about, both nationally and internationally, through political power. Politically, I guess I could be characterized as a democratic socialist.

Music, Movies, and Books

Recently saw the Palestinian movie, "Omar", and thought it was very powerful. Recently saw again the movie "Das Leben des Anders" (The Life of Others)and shared a DVD with friends.
Enjoy reading Ken Follett and John Grisham, especially when traveling. Recently read the excellent book, "Why Nations Fail" and thought it was excellent.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three years ago I took an ultralight flight over Victoria Falls in Zambia, Africa. It was fantastic.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a psychologist who has worked a lifetime with children, I think I am able to understand human behavior and can assist people with problems related to such. I'm also willing to learn from others in this field as well.
