ABOUT ME

If you asked my best friend about me, what kinds of things would she say, hun?

Well, most probably that I am a very easy-going person that can talk about almost anything to anyone. I am considered to have what some people call "flow" when it comes to social interaction. Therefore, you are sure to never find yourself captured in a 'awkard silent moment' with me. Unless you appreciate silence. Then, I assure you I can also just contemplate the beauty of silence and don't say a word for hours.

My best friend would also give you spoilers about my life and personality. So you would not have to put too much time or effort into getting to know me. She would probably mention that I love travelling, going out to have some good food and some nice talks and to socialize in general. I am a movie addict, I love arts and I appreciate those that can appreciate art too (I know we are a minority or even an endangered species). I am a book-worm and I consider myself to have a very curious and unsettled mind. I love multitasking, but only when it means enjoying a lot of things at the same time or being interested in too many things at once to ever get to do everything I want.

My best friend would also tell you, after reading all of this, that this is all 'bullshit' and you can actually convince me to do anything, if you provide me with good company and you promise me I will be going out of my confort zone, enjoy myself and learn from the interaction with people from different backgrounds and cultures. So I guess you could say I am also pretty flexible.

At last, but not least, I like to consider myself a cosmopolitan citizen. A citizen of the world. For the moment, I am still looking for the best place to settle and call home, and for the best dream to pursue.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love the peripatetic-living lifestyle: always moving, always on the road. I am a globetrotter, a person who travels often and widely, especially for sightseeing. I have wanderlust, a very strong or irresistible impulse to travel. Also I love people. People are fucking amazing. As Fitzgerald once wrote, " I am not sure what I'll do, but - well, I want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow. I want to live where things happen on a big scale."

Interests

I am a very artsy person, not meaning I am an artist or I can produce any kind of art, but I highly appreciate it in any form - in particular music, cinema, literature and painting. You can always find me going through museum and gallerie's websites or just scrolling through 'artsy' and 'saatchi online' apps on my computer or phone. I will always have a book with me - next to my bed, in my backpack, in my bike or even in my hands. Music is my thing and my life always has a soundtrack I am jamming to. Movies are a constant in my phone, tablet, computer, tv, and often in theaters. You will find me at least once a week in the movies.

I am a very active person. I was once thinner and lighter, but college and work slowed me down. Still, 'looks' not always match 'strength' or 'endurance'. I love walking,cycling and weight lifting. I live that 'clean and healthy' life 90% of the time. I want to get back into 'shape' to take my sports passion to the next level and go back to my running days. I love to try new things and this includes extreme or radical sports.

I love any activities that can be performed outdoors, but I sure know how to appreciate a empty and well geared gym !
