About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand and learn and grow and experience!

ABOUT ME

A big part of my journey through the world involves music! Composing music, singing it, playing it, experiencing it, learning, it, teaching it. I'm currently studying to become a composer at the Copenhagen Conservatory, sing in a womens choir, and release music from time to time.
5-10 years ago, I spend all my time traveling. And somewhere along the line, I fell into the trap of getting too busy and forgot to travel. Now I'm finding ways of making traveling make sense for the work I do with music by recording and writing while traveling, as well as travel to see concerts.
I have a general feeling that people tend to percieve me as slightly naive. And sometimes arrogant, but I don't think I am. I do think I'm amazingly awesome, but that doesn't mean that I think everyone else is less awesome. I love people and their quirks.
Additional possibly useful knowledge: I'm a vegetarian and allergic to cats. I can manage the allergy though. There!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the way couchsurfing allows you to perceive places from the perspective of the people who actually really know it. You get to see a bit more beneath the surface of the places of the world, and you get to meet and talk to a bunch of people you might've not talked to without couchsurfing.

I've mostly surfed and not hosted - simply because I haven't had a place suitable for hosting that often. Right now I live in a tiny apartment that is only one room with kitchen, bed and a table all close together. No room for couch or even a mattress on the floor. Copenhagen is an insanely expensive city - especially when it comes to housing - and being a student and a composer just doesn't pay enough to afford a big enough apartment for hosting surfers as long as I choose to live in Copenhagen. When my situation eventually changes, I'll start hosting!

Interests

I wanna hear about all your existential theories on what the fuck is going on and what we are all doing here. What is life and all that. Sounds pretentious, maybe.

I read books, go to theaters, compose music, sing songs, take long hikes, meditate, eat delicious meals, ride my bicycle, grow and explore spiritually, smell flowers, climb trees, pet dogs!

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly Jazz, RnB, soul, and traditional folk music from every corner of the world! But there are gold to be found in all genres of music if it's executed well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed all alone in a jungle on a farm in Mexico for 5 days. Nearest human being was several km away. Got to make bonfires, walk around naked and search for cenotes and caves and sing louder than I've ever done before while confronting the fear of deadly scorpions and alligators and jaguars and having no antidotes or phone connection.

Cut an entire horse into pieces and fed it to 30 hungry wolves in some mountains in Colorado

Snorkled in countless cenotes with crystal walls and beautiful fish

Swam with (wild) dolphins, turtles and manatees

Hitchhiked in various places of the world, met incredible weirdos and psychos and plain-Janes, all with amazing stories to tell

Watched hundreds of balloons rise with the sun at the balloon festival in New Mexico

Spend a day with a turkish local I didn't share any language with at all, playing tablas and walking among incredible stone formations that looked like animals in Cappadocia, Turkey. Finding out that human connection exceeds language and communication has to do with other things than the words we speak

Chitchen Itza

other stuff tooooo!

Teach, Learn, Share

I give singing lessons on a regular basis! Besides that, I can share some songwriting tips and tricks maybe. I'm good at cooking something out of whatever there is. But I am a vegetarian and have no idea what to do with meat, though.
I would like to be better at playing the piano, though I know the basics.
