About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn. To grow. To experience. To be curious.

ABOUT ME

Creativity and curiosity are the most precious qualities and probably the most accurate in describing myself. As a physicist I am keen to understand how everything around me operates. Yet it doesn't just involve the physical phenomena, it involves a lot more different things, such as relations between people, finding out more about different cultures and in the end finding out something new about myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Even though it's popular, but the quote is exceptionally accurate.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world".

So, indeed, my personal philosophy is to successfully be that change.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While being new to couchsurfing I don't have any experience. Although I look forward to this experience and hope that it will be something exceptionally great.

- Playing chess.
- Learning something new and unknown.
- Travelling.
- Observing and analyzing.
- Motivating people.
- Interested in creating and changing ones habits, in an ability to grow and improve.
- Interested in understanding how memory works and also improving it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Most recently I enjoy listening to "Of Monsters and Men", "The Passenger" and some other lithuanian groups. The music I listen could be described as calm and relaxing or the kind which makes you stand up and do something with a a smile. I also like to listen to some instrumental melodies which are perfect as a background.

Movies:
Mr. Nobody probably takes the first place. Then again there so many movies that could be called my favourite. Such as both parts of Sherlock Holmes, Warior, A Beautiful Mind and so on. I can always know that minions from "Despicable Me" or Olaf from "Frozen" will cheer me up. "The Golden Compass" is also an amazing movie, which I kept re-watching quite a lot recently.
To conclude with the movies, "Into the Wild" was an amazing and fascinating film, which probably motivated to overcome my fears of hitch-hiking and couchsurfing.

Books.
Well, one of my 2014 challenges are to read 25 books in this year. Yet I am certain I'll reach 30 or 40.
Since childhood I was a huge fan of Jules Verne. And even now I am interested in fictional literature - last book I read and gave a 5 stars was Neil Gaiman "Star Dust". Looking forward to read more books of his in soon future. Also, I enjoy reading literature about memory, habits, finances and science.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Joining the art school when I was 13.
It is not the fact of joining, but what it meant and how that experience influenced me up until now.
This one thing changed me completely and it was the beginning of my new, more successful way of living.
I guess, if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have done a lot of other more amazing things.

Teach, Learn, Share

With myself I always carry my ethnic nationality, unique culture and one of the hardest languages there are. I carry interesting stories about this small country called Lithuania with it's vast history. I love sharing and talking about it.

And that's only one thing of my unique set of skills and knowledge.
